Falcon Heavy Duty Slashers

The Falcon Heavy Duty Slasher is designed for all grass-cutting and slashing operations, with different models having cutting widths from 1,2 m to 3 m. The range is fitted with locally manufactured F50 series gearboxes; in addition the 3 m model has a T-box (splitter box). The range is suited to tractors rated 35 kW to 90 kW. The off-set hitch is standard on all models except the F50/300, which allows cutting up to boundary fences.

The round, low-impact blade disc with four blades swinging on special stepped blade bolts is preferred when a cleaner cut is required. This system allows the blade to swing 360 degrees if it encounters an obstruction. The two-blade cutting assembly, with tempered spring steel blade beams and two blades swinging on hardened bushes secured by special blade bolts, is the preferred choice for general slashing purposes in rough conditions with heavy growth. The two-blade option is available on the F50/150 and F50/180 models. Steel flaps at the rear of the implement provide protection from flying stones and debris.

The RG slasher is specifically designed for use in orchards. The curved rear end allows tighter turning without risk of damage to the trees. The slasher has a round, low-impact blade disc with four 360 degrees swinging blades. A rubber guard curtain around the curved back of the implement is standard.

The F50/300 slasher is designed for grass-cutting and slashing large areas. It is semi-trailed and can therefore be used with tractors rated 50 kW to 90 kW. Two cutting height options are available: 50 to 250 mm and 250 to 400 mm. Owing to its height adjustability it is also an ideal implement for slashing operations at airports where the cutting height of approximately 400 mm is important to keep the birds away. The low profile allows for easy cutting under low trees as the monocoque construction offers a smooth deck and prevents material build-up. The implement is fitted with a rear and front chain curtain for safe operation. The slasher spreads the cuttings evenly across the full width of the implement and can cut grass up to 1,2 m high. It is fitted with a splitter box and two locally manufactured F50 series gearboxes. The high-capacity bevel gear T-box splits the power into torque-dampening couplings which prevent excessive high-impact torque in the intermediate shafts and absorb shock in the inter-transmission system, allowing efficient and effective cutting. The F50/300 is fitted with two round, low-impact blade discs with two 360 degrees swinging blades on each disc.

All implements are supplied with appropriate, fully guarded PTO shafts. Torque-limiting slip clutches are supplied where specified. Optional over-run clutches can be supplied if required.
