"Often Copied Never Equalled" Was a Success
|
 |
Les
Brandon from Obaro Malelane stated, "Falcon is by far the best product on
the market!" and we couldn't agree more. The objective of the "Often
Copied, Never Equalled" tactical campaign was to draw the attention back
to the core of the Falcon company, the Falcon brand, and in particular the
Falcon range of slashers and Haymakers®. Overall the feedback from our dealers
has been positive and we gather that this was a successful campaign for all
parties involved.

Tips & Advice
|
|
The PTO shaft may have to be cut to the correct length to suit your tractor/slasher combination. Too long a shaft can result in serious damage to your tractor, the slasher, or the PTO shaft when the implement is either raised or lowered. Cutting the shaft too short may result in your not being able to use it or, if the overlap is too short, the shaft will, when under power, start to vibrate, break or tear open, causing damage to the implement and tractor and injury to the operator. The process of cutting the PTO and the calculation to establish the correct length are clearly described in the PTO manual. So please refer to this handbook before cutting the PTO shaft, especially pages 39 and 97-100.

Spreader Stands Tall in Growing Maize Crop
| |
Klaas Venter's son, Jannie, stands under the Amazone 1501 profiS Hydro fertiliser spreader, mounted on a John Deere 4730 sprayer.
Unseasonal and heavy rain meant that maize farmer Klaas Venter, of Grootvlei, in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa, couldn't apply the necessary nitrogen fertiliser at the optimum time.
Then, by the time the lands had dried out sufficiently for a tractor to travel, the crop was too high for conventional spreading. Apply liquid fertiliser? As it turns out, this wasn't a viable option either, because the farm's inaccurately planted row widths could have resulted in dangerous double-dosing. Read more...
