Amazone Rotary Harrows

The Amazone KE Rotary Harrow has a solid light-weight design. It is superbly suited for soil tillage after ploughing and mulch-sowing on pre-cultivated soils. The large clearance above the rotor heads ensures a free passage of large amounts of straw or clods of soil.

The KE working depth can be easily adjusted to 16 different settings by repositioning a pin on the carrying arms.  The side plates are mounted on a sprung suspension (KE Super) which allows them to move upwards when stones are encountered. 

The KE Rotary Harrow is available in 2,5, 3 and 4 m working widths and is suited to tractors rated up to 131 kW.  Front-end mounted frames are available, as are optional rollers to suit different soil conditions. The cage roller, tooth-packer roller and wedge ring roller are available as optional extras.

• The cage roller is comparatively cheap, and provides a loose, open seedbed for the following sowing or planting operation. Cage rollers are available with an outer diameter of 420 mm for working widths of 2,5 and 3 m and an outer diameter of 520 mm for working widths of 3 and 4 m.  They are less suitable for operation in wetter soil conditions.

• The tooth-packer roller leaves an even, but not intensive, soil reconsolidation over the entire working width. The deeply positioned, wear-resistant scrapers ensure a blockage-free operation even on very wet soils and if much straw is present. This implement suitable mainly for use in vegetable farming. The tooth-packer roller with an outer diameter of 420 mm is available for working widths of  2,5 and 3 m. The version with an outer diameter of 500 mm is available in working widths of 2, 2,5, 3, 4 and 4,5 m. In addition a version with a 600 mm outer diameter is available for working widths of 3 and 4 m.

• The wedge ring roller leaves behind optimally reconsolidated strips into which the seed is then sown. One-third of the soil is reconsolidated in strips, with 2/3 of the surface remaining unrolled in order to cover the seed evenly with loose soil. This roller operates blockage-free in wet conditions and yet intensively in dry conditions. The wedge ring rollers with working widths of 2,5, 3, 4 and 4,5 m are available with an outer diameter of 580 mm. Alternatively a smaller and somewhat lighter 520 mm diameter wedge ring roller with a 3 m working width is available.

Each Amazone KE Rotary Harrow is supplied to the customer’s specifications, ready for work.
